By the light of the moon Extreme Ireland, a company that offers hiking tours, is holding a full-moon walk in Co Wicklow – over Scarr Mountain and down into Lough Dan – on Wednesday December 2nd. It’s a two and a half hour walk on open mountain. Meet at Lynams of Laragh at 6.45pm, say the organisers, and you should be back by midnight, “just in time for a farewell drink”. You need proper walking gear, an extra layer of clothes in your bag, and a snack. The fee is €25. 01-8255167, 086-4076985, extremeireland.ie.
