Sir, – Regarding the ongoing speculation regarding Simon Harris’s suitability for the role of taoiseach, it may be prudent for him to draw parallels to former governor Bill Clinton’s successful approach to education reform in Arkansas, where he astutely recognised that 20 per cent of the populace would steadfastly support him, 60 per cent would remain indifferent unless provoked, and 20 per cent would oppose him regardless of his actions. – Yours, etc,
