Homemade mustard

Ingredients
  • Makes enough for one small jar
  • 3 tbsp black or brown mustard seeds
  • 3 tbsp dry mustard powder
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp horseradish cream
  • 40-50ml cold water, depending on the consistency you like
  • 1-2 tsp honey

Grind the mustard seeds in a pestle and mortar. Place the mustard powder in a bowl and add in the ground mustard seeds. Whisk in the vinegar, water and horseradish cream. Season and taste. If it’s too fiery, add some honey.

Makes enough for one small jar
