Bord na Móna backs Green Awards that recognise those who make Ireland one of the greenest countries in the world

Ireland is ranked fifth in the world by prestigious US university the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – known as MIT - for its progress towards a green future. It ranked seventh out of the 76 countries examined for climate policy, which covered such areas as carbon pricing and sustainable agriculture. And Ireland ranked second in the world for having a green society, which measured green buildings, recycling and forestation.

Recognising and applauding the innovation and hard work done by those who have brought about this transformation in Ireland’s economy is what the Green Awards have been doing for the past 15 years. And 2024 will be no different, with close to 30 categories being hotly contested.

Climate solutions company Bord na Móna has signalled its support for the awards by once again becoming Title Sponsor.
